The Wolf, The Severn and The Wyre to merge as Signal 107

Three commercial radio stations in the West Midlands region will merge, their owner has announced.
UTV Media (GB) Ltd, which owns The Wolf in Wolverhampton, bought The Severn and The Wyre from Midland News Association (MNA) on Friday.
UTV, which also owns the Talksport brand, said the three Midlands stations would launch as Signal 107 from March.
It will broadcast to audiences across Wolverhampton, north Worcestershire and Shropshire.
Calum Macaulay, director of local radio for UTV, said Signal 107 would have a potential audience of more than 900,000 people.
He said the new station would compete with Beacon, which is due to be rebranded as Free Radio from April.
MNA, which owns the Express & Star and Shropshire Star newspapers, announced in November that The Severn and The Wyre would close due to "very challenging" economic conditions.
In Staffordshire and Cheshire, Signal 1 and Signal 2, which are part of UTV, will remain on their existing frequencies.
