The 2008 American League Player of the Week and 2008 National League Player of the Week Award are an extension to the Baseball Player of Month and Baseball Pitcher of the Month Award issued by Major League Baseball. But Holliday would refuse to take credit for Colorado's recent success, instead noting that there is still room for the team to improve.
