What to do at Stamford Bridge Stadium

Stamford Bridge is the home of the Premier League club, Chelsea FC. It’s the former host of the FA Cup Final, holding the event between 1920 and 1922 until it was moved to Wembley. The stadium has also held a variety of other sporting events over the years, including rugby, cricket, American football and greyhound racing.

About Stamford Bridge Stadium

Built in 1876 and opened on 28th April 1877, Stamford Bridge was the home of the London Athletic Club until 1905, when Chelsea Football Club was formed. It’s been the base of Chelsea FC ever since, although the stadium has undergone various renovations over the years. It has a capacity of 40,834, making it the ninth-largest of the 2021/22 Premier League season stadiums.

Concerts at Stamford Bridge Stadium

While world-renowned sporting venue Stamford Bridge hasn’t been used for live music events yet, the stadium opened a new music venue directly underneath the football ground in 2022. With artists including Colosseum, the Blow Monkeys and Nine Below Zero among the first to perform here, this music venue promises to be a great feature of Stamford Bridge Stadium.

With most gigs at Stamford Bridge finishing up between 10:30-11:00 pm, it’s easy enough to catch a train afterwards, no matter which part of London you’re headed to. The closest tube station is Fulham Broadway and it’s just 5 minutes walk away from the ground, meaning getting to concerts at Stamford Bridge Stadium is quick and almost effortless.
