First Class Private Rooms on the Silver Meteor
Roomettes, Bedrooms and Accessible Bedrooms offer seating by day and comfortable berths by night. Each room offers linens, towels, pillows, temperature controls, electrical outlets and access to a restroom and shower. Meal service is offered as a complimentary benefit for First Class customers on the Silver Meteor. Plus, your dedicated First Class attendant is on hand to assist with meals and luggage, provide turndown service, and share great stories of life on the rails.
Business Class on the Palmetto
Enjoy an enhanced travel experience in Business Class on the Palmetto and you'll get reserved seating and access to exclusive amenities such as a fully refundable ticket if canceled prior to departure, 25% point bonus for Amtrak Guest Rewards members, seating in a dedicated car, leather seats with extra legroom with footrests and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages.
Onboard Dining Options
Traditional dining is offered to all private room customers and a limited number of Coach customers on the Silver Meteor, featuring seasonal menus with a variety of entree selections. Cafe service is also offered on the Silver Meteor and Palmetto — with a variety of meals, snacks and beverages for sale.
Capitol Limited Merging with Silver Star
Amtrak’s East River Tunnel Rehabilitation Project in New York requires closing one tunnel tube at a time to safely and efficiently conduct modernization work, resulting in minor capacity limits on train operations in this area. As a result, Amtrak has temporarily combined the Capitol Limited and Silver Star trains to create theFloridian, which will run between Chicago and Miami via Washington, DC.
