This volume contains one of the most interesting episodes of the whole series. In "Roman Holiday," Steve at first turns down an offer to take the boys with him on a business trip to Rome. We learn from a conversation between Steve and Bub that Steve served in the military during WWII and was in Rome when the war in Europe ended. Steve's wife (and Bub's daughter) journeyed to Rome since he couldn't get back home for a while and they had a really memorable time. Steve doesn't want to see all of the places where they spent time together, but Bub talks him in to it. Each of the boys has a crazy time in Rome and the ending is pretty cool. And there are 19 more great episodes. I've read the complaints and I agree that the set could have been down better. For instance, the closing credits shown after "Tramp's First Bite" are from another episode. But so what? That doesn't take away from a really good episode. If you like 'My Three Sons.' you need to get this volume. Thanks, CBS! Now that you've heard some suggestions for improvement, like a better price, you can work on making for better releases. Please keep 'em coming! This was an awesome series!

Season 3 of My Three Sons aired in 1962-63, at that time I was in high school, so I could relate to Robbie, played by Don Grady, one of my all time favorites, along with Tony Dow as Wally Cleaver in Leave It To Beaver, Paul Peterson and Shelley Fabares in Donna Reed Show, Patty Duke, Sally Field as Gidget, Donna Douglas as Ellie Mae in Beverley Hillbillies, Ricky Nelson, Billy Gray as Bud Anderson in Father Knows Best – all these great memorable teens from the old classic shows. So I’m pleased to see that we still are getting releases of some classic shows from the past, recently we had some new seasons of Mr Novak, Gunsmoke and Bonanza, and I enjoy these shows a lot more than anything produced in recent times.

The following is the episode guide to season 3 - part 1 has the first 20 episodes !.

Ep 1 - Weekend in Tokyo
The whole family goes on a trip to Japan when Steve has to fly there for business
    Ep 2 - Robbie's Employment Service
Robbie and his friend start a business for home repairs and chores in order to make money to go on dates.
    Ep 3 - Tramp's First Bite
The Douglas' are taken to small claims court when a teen accuses Tramp of biting him
Ep 4 – Moment of Truth
Mike is in a bind when he realizes he has two dates for his fraternity's dance.
    Ep 5 - Daughter for a Day
Steve invites the teenage daughter of a friend to stay with the Douglas' while her father attends to business in town.
Ep 6 - The Ghost Next Door
While out trick-or-treating, Chip and his friend Sudsy see someone - or something - carrying a candle, in the window of an empty house next to the Douglas'.
    Ep 7 – Pretty as a Picture
Robbie is infatuated with a senior in high school who does not notice him.
    Ep 8 – What's Cooking?
Chip's school holds a cooking contest with the kids submitting their mother's favorite recipe.
    Ep 9 - Chip's Last Fight
Chip wants to join a neighborhood club, but the members say he is too young.
    Ep 10 - Steve Gets an A
Robbie did not do his term paper so he finds an old paper that Steve used years ago when he was in school.
    Ep 11 - Heat Wave
Steve cannot find some important papers for his work
Ep 12 - The Beauty Contest
Mike's college holds a beauty pageant and Mike is selected as the judge.
Ep 13 - Doctor in the House
Steve hurts his back and needs a doctor
    Ep 14 - Going Steady
Robbie wants to go steady with Linda, but Linda's mother does not approve of her daughter getting involved at her young age.
    Ep 15 - Mother Bub
Chip and Sudsy want to buy a model auto to work on, Bub comes up with an argument.
    Ep 16 - Honorable Grandfather
Steve's friend Ray Wong is having a birthday party for his honorable grandfather.
Ep 17 - How to Impress a Woman
Mike is smitten with an attractive model (Diana Millay), who's been hired to oversee a college fashion show.
    Ep 18 - Roman Holiday
A business trip to Rome does not interest Steve. Since Steve doesn't normally turn down business trips, the boys try to find out why this time is different
    Ep 19 - Flashback
Steve sets Robbie up on a blind date with a girl he met that reminded him of his own youthful dates. When Robbie and the girl (Joyce Bulifant) meet, she thinks he is too sophisticated for her.
Ep 20 - The Dream Book
One of Steve's coworkers asks Steve to join the company musical group.

Dislike. Was 32.00 extra. Driver wouldn’t release this expensive dvd until I paid an extra 32.00. Won’t order anything else because of this extra expense
