- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2010Today the world is in dire need of direction, Archbishop Gomez wrote this book to remind us what are actions and thoughts should be directed towards. This is a great book to read regaurdless of your state of life. If you want to renew your faith this is a good book to read. If you want to go deeper in your faith you should read this book. If you are just now discovering your faith this book is something you should read. This book is a great guide in how we as Christains and especially as Catholics should hold ourselves and how everything we say and do should be directed towards Christ.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2010The life of virtue is the life we are all called to live. Too often we forget this and settle for easier roads, the life of indulgence or simply indecision. Archbishop Gomez draws upon the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas in his meditations upon the virtues, particularly fortitude. His reflections are primarily aimed at priests and those in seminary formation, but they also contain many salutary insights for all people.
