- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2023The episodes include when Quentin's ghost drives Stokes, Liz and Roger from the house and the reading of the will from 1897 where Judith inherits the family fortune and Edward , Quentin and Carl are just poor relations now. In 1840, Quentin and Samantha do battle while Angelique arrives in the graveyard. A good selection of David Selby's best.

I though David Selby was the sexiest man alive when I was a kid rushing home from school to watch the show at 4 p.m. every weekday. The show may seem campy and amateurish now, but it was very unique and innovative when it began in the early 1960s. I still have a little crush on David Selby/Quentin and even though I own the whole series on DVD, I still wanted this Best of Quentin DVD by itself. I'm not disappointed in any way and the quality is great.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2015I saw all of these episodes when they were originally broadcast in the late 1960s early 1970s, and it is a delight to be able to see them again in this anthology. Although this line is not among those in the episodes here, it still is one of my favorites: Quentin Collins (David Selby) is upbraiding Judith Collins (Joan Bennett) who has just threatened him with being tossed out of the house by no less a personage than Edward Collins (Louis Edmonds). He says vengefully, "Stuffy, pompous, proud, arrogant and insufferable Edward. My dear, Edward could not inspire fear in a mouse!"

I was forced to watch this with her in the beginning, but now (I secretly admit to Amazon customers) I kind of look forward to watching Barnabas with my mother every afternoon. We probably have more fun laughing at the outfits, hairstyles, and bloopers then watching the storyline (which can be all over the place).

- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2000This video presents a collection of the most graphic, terrifying, horrific sequences from this most unusual and ambitious soap opera. If you know anyone who thinks, based on a random viewing of DARK SHADOWS episodes, that the show was all talk and no action, this video will prove them wrong. Unfortunately, I can't give this a full five stars because I feel that it also subtly misrepresents the show. The soap opera format allowed DARK SHADOWS to develop its characters and situations much more fully than in much television and movie horror, but you can't really see that here. This video proves that DARK SHADOWS offered plenty of shudders and shrieks, but might give the impression that the show offered nothing else.
