- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2021This was a fun movie when I was a kid and still pretty fun to see again. Just a note, it's rated G but has two cuss words, one is literally the very last word of the movie, just stupid.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2014C.H.O.M.P.S. is a cute family classic.
A movie from my childhood. I watched the movie the day that it arrived.
Overall, C.H.O.M.P.S. is a good movie. It was rated G in the USA and PG in Canada. It should have a PG rating here as well because of the language used by a character in the movie. - Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2015This movie is so extremely cheesy and so insanely fun. I dont know what more to say about it. I saw it as a young child and loved it and I still love it to this day and I hope my kids love it when I make them watch it!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2021I like it because it's fun for the whole family.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2018It had been years since I had seen C.H.O.M.P.S. I never could find it on TV anywhere due to how old the movie is. The DVD is perfect. Takes me back to when I first saw it.

5.0 out of 5 starsSilly fun, great conceptual fruit salad
This film has a great concept which attempted to recapture the fun of trained dog features and series like the Benji, Lassie or Beethoven ones, and combined it with an attempt at a buddy duo reminiscent of Oliver and Hardy with their slapstick approach to comedy (which was later tried again, with more commercial success, in Home Alone). There's budding AI (artificial intelligence) in there as well, mostly working according to plan, but which can also run amok and hurt its creators if its environment brings up unexpected elements (in this case, an ultrasonic dog whistle). The romantic bits are superficial, but they still hint at the drama of young people blowing reactions out of proportion (both positive and negative ones). For me, this is a classic, and I readily forgive its silliness in exchange for the nice themes it weaves so well. - DianaReviewed in the United Kingdom on November 4, 2009
