This Fortress and the nearest buildings functioned as a hospice and a hospital for the many pilgrims who came to the Holly Land during the crusaders period in the 12th and 13th centuries.
This authentic world class site is one of the leading historical sites in Israel. It was awarded World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Walking through the Knights Halls takes you back to the crusaders period and makes you feel like a Knight yourself.

2The Okashi Museum of Modern Art
The Okashi Museum features rotating exhibitions of Israeli art. Avshalom Okashi was an important artist who lived in Akko.
There is a permanent exhibition of his works in the museum.

3The Ethnographic Museum Treasures in the Wall
The Treasures in the Wall museum is located in the inner eastern wall of Akko, one of the thickets walls in the world. It displays rare collections and traditional handicrafts from the 19th century. The collections illustrate the folklore in the Galilee of all the religions and communities that existed in the region.

4The Turkish Bath House (Al Basha)
This Hammam is preserved from the 18th century.
It is a Turkish Bath House that was built by Jazzar Pasha the famous ruler of Akko.
It was the social center of the city, a place to hear the news, to make business.
All the gossip of the city started here!
5Ramchal Synagogue & Heritage Center
This center presents and highlights the Jewish heritage in Akko throughout the centuries.
The archeologists believe there was a shopping street just here!!
The Ramchal Synagogue is an old structure from the Ottoman period.
The Ramchal was a famous Rabbi who came from Italy to Akko.

The Templars were one of the leading crusaders knights’ orders. This secret underground tunnel connected the main palace of the Templars to the port of Akko. The tunnel is about 150 meters long and it runs beneath the houses of the city.
