DVD+RW DL

DVD+RW DL is a re-writeableDigital Versatile Disc (DVD) format promoted by theDVD+RW Alliance. It is a dual layer disc that offers up to 8.5GB storage on a single side, and so contains two rewriteable dye layers. The DVD+RW Alliance approved the format in March 2006 and DVD writers compatible with it began to show up in 2007. DVD+RW DL competes withDVD-RW DL, which is promoted by theDVD Forum.
