Digital art studio Picsart is tapping advances in artificial intelligence to add new image and copy generation tools to its platform.

The new tool allows users to simply type in a word or phrase and instantaneously generate a passably realistic image that can be used for design purposes. The software draws on new machine learning capabilities that have thepotential to transform the creative industry but have alsoraised questions about copyright infringement and artistic propriety.

Picsart is also offering a text generation tool designed for small businesses to write copy for digital ads and social media bios with options for different tones of language.
