On the final night of New York Fashion Week,Net-a-porter hosted a private dinner at new West Village hot spot Le Chêne to celebrate the launch ofWilly Chavarria on the site.

Guests includingBecky G,Jack Harlow, Julia Fox, Hari Nef, Tove Lo, Juana Burga and Aweng Ade-Chuol packed into the intimate restaurant for a cocktail hour, where cornichon martinis and margaritas awaited on the horseshoe-shaped bar. The dining tables were set with red roses, a perfect prop for a photo shoot, as Becky G discovered, as well as deep red candles and a poem by Chavarria himself at each place setting.

“It is so exciting to have watched you over the years. You’re more than just a designer, let’s be honest,”Net-a-porter chief executive officer Heather Kaminetsky told Chavarria as she addressed the room. “When you think of bold statements and silhouettes, you think of Willy.”

“There’s nothing I love more than a room full of women where most of them are wearing my clothes,” Chavarria said. “When I was a kid, I used to draw a lot and I would always ask my mom to buy me a dress book at the Dollar Store, and I would draw dresses in them on all the pages, because I thought it was a dress book. And that’s when I started designing women.”

The designer continued that though he fell into designing menswear, women have “been such an important part of my life, in my childhood and in my present life. I’m so influenced by women,” he said. “But speaking of women, we’re all fighting for our rights right now, and we’re fighting for women’s rights right now. It’s a tricky time right now. So I’m honored to have all of you here to celebrate my clothes with Net-a-porter that stand for more than just fierce tailoring and sick a– shoes, but stand for purpose and stand for the effect that we can have on this world.”
