0.0.5 Alpha - Pause & Settings ⏯
Hello you! Here is another alpha update for Ringtail! 🦝
This update brings some more foundational work on basic game systems including pausing the game and a settings menu.
Pause
Just as you would expect from a game, you now have the ability to pause! Pause is bound toescape on keyboard andstart on a joypad. The game will pause, the screen will dim, and the pause menu appears. You then have the options to resume, quit to the title screen, or access the new settings menu.
Settings
The new settings menu is accessible from the title screen and the pause menu. The only adjustable setting right now is a text speed option. This affects the animation speed and hold durations of both the speech bubbles and the notifications.
Other notable changes
- Experimental zoom functionality using the mouse scroll wheel.
- Fade effects on the speech bubble to make them a little cleaner looking.
