Summary

In 'To Grant A Wish' you play as a Minor Deity, whose presence has been fading due to a lack of worship. One day, you receive an offering on your shrine that grants you more power than you have had in a century, and you set out, determined to grant their wish. 

Unfortunately, this isn't quite so simple as it seems... 

The Player Character: Zephyr (Name Changeable)

Minor Deity of the Breeze. The player character is kind and playful, if a bit out of touch with society.

There are three versions, each with three different skin tone options, for a total of 9 possible MC's.

The Characters:

Bells  + Chimes: (Bells: They/Them and Chimes: He/Him)

Bells VA: Brandon P Jenkins + Chimes VA: Noah Belachew 

Bells VA: Kirsty Woolven + Chimes VA: Noah Belachew 

A cheerful and friendly traveller who makes their living as a dancer. They are almost never seen without their curious mouse companion Chimes. They seem perfectly happy, so what has lead to them making a wish at your shrine?

Leo/Sam + Oscar: (Leo: He/Him, Sam (She/Her) and Oscar: He/Him. Oscar is not dateable.)

Leo VA: Nicholas Contreras

Sam VA: Whitney Holland

A tired and over-worked older sibling who is trying their best for their little sibling. What has got them so stressed? And perhaps more importantly, is there anything you can do to help?

Oscar VA: Allison Mann

The excitable younger brother of Leo/Sam. He is enraptured by pirates, especially the brave Captain Fin. What's got him so concerned about his older brother that he makes a wish at your shrine?

Lorelei/Callen: Lorelei (She/Her), Callen (He/Him)

Lorelei VA: EvelynnVTuber

Callen VA: Marlon Dance-Hooi


A responsible and hard-working young person who claims that they won't allow anyone to dictate their fate anymore. What were they praying for then, when they visited your shrine?

Recommended Route Order:

There is no strict route order, however I personally recommend Bells (Purple Bracelet) -> Lorelei/Callen (Fur Tuft Necklace)  -> Leo/Sam (Shark Pirate Toy) as certain elements might be more meaningful if you have seen certain parts of the other routes.

Features:

  • Selectable appearance and  deity pronouns for the player character (God/Goddess/Deity).
  • Custom name for the player character (voiced names below).
  • 150k words for an estimated 12-15 hours of playtime.
  • Over ten pursuable characters (not including alternate versions such as Leo/Sam or Lorelei/Callen), with more to come.
  • Over 75+ CG's.
  • A range of adorable dog-themed logo screens, picked randomly when you launch the game.

Voiced Names:

Due to the kind support of the Kickstarter backers, the following names are voiced in the game :

    I played the demo 2 years ago and really liked how much effort was put into making sure everyone could enjoy the game.
    I bought the full game on steam and I did thoroughly enjoy the story and I appreciate the dialogue options and choices allowing me to play in a way suited to me.

    Hello. 

    Unfortunately I'm not likely to add Steam achievements any time soon. 

    I may try to add some in when I release the DLC if they are easy enough to implement.

    If your game is made with Renpy engine, they're pretty easy to implement, its very basic steps!

    If its made with VN maker then it's much harder afterwards.

    Is there any estimation on when Steam version will be released?

    My estimate is sometime around the end of next week. I know that it can't be any earlier than the 12th as Steam's rules means you need to wait a set number of days after making your page live. 

    I can't be sure how quick they will review + approve the full game but for the demo it was only a couple of days so I think the end of next week is a decently likely timeline.

    What's the state of development so far? :) 

    The game is currently being tested by the Kickstarter Beta testers 😊.

    The planned release is late May/early June.

    Somehow the Mac  file says there's an error while extracting

    The art style is very cute, the CGs are very well-made! I also had Balance of Power save files in my game, I'll assume It's still a bug as well. However, so far, I really enjoyed the theme and characters, it looks like a sweet and emotional story.

    Cannot wait for future chapter/updates. :)

    For some reason my saves from Balance of power show up in my saves in this game and vise versa. Apart from that I had no problems and enjoyed the story and I look forward to seeing more <3

    No, I think you handled the scene well. I can give pointers if I go back and replay it. Off the top of my head, there was nothing that seemed forced or overboard.

    The plan is to release an extended demo in the coming months while I explore crowd-funding options for the art.

    Writing-wise, the game should be finished in the next two months 🙂.
