White Wafers is the level hub theme for thelevel with the same name fromKirby's Return to Dream Land.

Composition[edit]

White Wafers is truly bright and white.

"White Wafers" is a bright theme in the key of A flat major, set at around 140 beats per minute. The first section of this theme features a bouncy synthesizer melody mostly built from sixteenth notes, and the sound of woodblock percussion on every offbeat. As it goes on, comparatively-acoustic piano and xylophone sounds are introduced, and take the lead. The second section is marked by the introduction of bowed instruments in the backing and a new descending synth melody, which is eventually mirrored by a string section as the synthetic elements transition to the backing. After the string section and synth lead play in unison at the end of this portion, it transitions into a more minimal interlude, once again centered around percussion. After a brief break focused almost entirely on the woodblock, the track loops.
