Whack Attack! Hammer Trial (Hammer Treasure for short) is a stage inTreasure Road, found inWondaria Remains. This stage tasksKirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use ofHammer, battling a series of enemies in waves. The stage is unlocked after rescuing 5Waddle Dees in Wondaria Remains. It is marked by two stars of difficulty and has a stage time of three and a half minutes (three minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute and 20 seconds.

Stage details[edit]

This stage is a straightforward series of battles on three different platforms, each with a distinct pattern of mud covering portions of it. Kirby deals with waves of regular enemies for the first two battles, and faces off against themid-bossWild Bonkers for the third. After all of these battles are cleared, Kirby is free to grab theRare Stone at the end.

Tips[edit]

The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:

• Kirby should keep in mind that enemies will spawn outside of mud zones, typically in corners. The Rabiroos in the second wave will start hopping in a clockwise motion as soon as they appear.
• Against Wild Bonkers, Kirby should prepare and release fully-charged Hammer Flips for the start of each phase. Wild Bonkers should not be hit with these while they are roaring, since they will take greatly reduced damage.
• Aerial strikes are preferred whenever possible, due to instantly defeating most enemies while also being quick.
• Kirby can always use stock items if needed as a last resort.
