"Welcome to Wondaria" is a stage theme fromKirby and the Forgotten Land associated withWondaria Remains. It was composed byJun Ishikawa.[1]
Composition[edit]
"Welcome to Wondaria" is a bittersweet theme in C major and 4/4. It starts off with an intro with clap-like beats. An electric guitar plays a descending scale, and the cheerful yet somewhat nostalgic melody comes in with a rougher electric guitar which distorts octaves, evoking the image of broken speakers. This melody is structurally similar to its composer's later creations, in particular "Snowball Scuffle". The melody is played again, now by a softer synthesizer. The second section introduces lead brass, and the melody is inversed and less cheerful due to the modulation to C minor. Halfway through this section, a G to A-flat trill can be heard; a similar trill belongs to "Moonlight Capital". The inverted melody of the second section evolves into one closer to the aforementioned track. At the lowest brass point, a fourth plays up and back down, and afterwards a slow ascent follows back to a more stable tonic, where it finds proper resolution. The electric guitar from the intro gives a short dominant transition back to the intro, and the track loops.
