Waiu is amid-boss that made its debut inKirby's Dream Land 2. It resembles a ninja in a purple outfit and provides theCutter ability when swallowed after defeat.

Waiu appears as a Mid-Boss in this game, though it is fairly rare, not appearing untilRed Canyon.

Attacks[edit]
Waiu has four attacks, utilizing its ninjutsu skills. Of all the Mid-Bosses inKirby's Dream Land 2, Waiu has the most intricate attacks.

| Cutter Boomerang | Waiu throws boomerang cutters which can beinhaled and spat back, but only after they've hit the wall. |
| Vanish | Waiu vanishes, creating an illusion of itself shimmering in the air before landing. |
| Smoke Bombs | Waiu stops to throw smoke bombs which bounce three times on the ground and then rise into the air. They cannot be inhaled, however. This attack is ususally used right after vanishing. |
| Spin Kick | Waiu performs a rising kick at close range. |
Kirby Star Allies[edit]

While Waiu itself does not appear inKirby Star Allies, it, along withKracko andIce Dragon, can be painted byAdeleine & Ribbon in theDream Friend's move -Ado's Painter.
The Waiu replica can use all of its moves fromKirby's Dream Land 2 except the rising kick. Like the paint Kracko and Ice Dragon, the Waiu replica only has 1 HP and can be destroyed by one hit. In addition, the Waiu replica cannot jump infinitely orhover at all.
