TheWaddle Dee Steel Fortress[Japanese title] is amid-boss fromKirby: Triple Deluxe. It is fought using theHypernova ability. The fortress appears at the end ofStage 5 ofOld Odyssey, then again inStage 8 EX ofRoyal Road. It appears by rising out of a pit, and has threeWaddle Dees manning it on a side-platform (though they don't appear to be doing anything to help).

The fortress attacks by shooting missiles from its cannon mouth, which Kirby can spit back at it. However, Kirby needs to hit its support beams, which are only target-able for a short time to damage the tower. Each time a beam is taken out, the tower gets angrier and faster, while the Waddle Dees become more frightened. When the tower is down to its last beam, it will, in addition to the missiles, also occasionally spit out a spiky beam, which it will try to smack Kirby with.

Once defeated, the tower crumbles, sending the Waddle Dees flying, and revealing the door forward.

The Steel Fortress encountered in Royal Road hasSectra Dees instead of the regular type.

Trivia[edit]
