Waddle Dee's Item Shop is a building inWaddle Dee Town that is constructed after rescuing at least 145Waddle Dees. It is located up the stairs to the right past theWaddle Dee Café andWaddle Dee-liveries, right next to theTilt-and-Roll Kirby game parlor. Here,Kirby can purchase three different types ofStock Items fromItem-Shop Waddle Dee that can give him a temporary boost to his stats. The interior of the shop suggests that many other items are for sale, but Kirby cannot purchase any of those, and they are likely meant for the Waddle Dee Town residents.

Making at least 7 purchases from the shop is required to obtain the Item-Shop Waddle Deefigure, and thus attain100% completion.

Waddle Dee's Item Shop has the following items in its inventory:

Attack Boost	×150	Red in color with a "hit" insignia. Boosts Kirby'sdamage output by 1.5x for 200 seconds. Can be stacked up to 999 seconds.
Speed Boost	×150	Blue in color with an arrow insignia. Increases Kirby's movement speed by 1.3x for 200 seconds. Can be stacked up to 999 seconds.

The Attack/Speed Boost effect counter only runs when Kirby is in a stage or aColosseum battle, and pauses anywhere else or after pausing the game. This means that, with Speed Boost, Kirby can always move at increased speed in the Waddle Dee Town. Also, although the Colosseum timer disappears during the battles againstFecto Elfilis andChaos Elfilis, the Attack/Speed Boost effect counter still runs.

After usingDeep Sleep, Kirby gets one random boost of Life Up, Attack Boost or Speed Boost, which have the same effects as the items sold at the shop. These effects can be stacked with each other.

Trivia[edit]

• The items for sale at this shop are directly comparable to thePower-Up Hearts inGuest Star ???? Star Allies Go! fromKirby Star Allies, with the key difference being their temporary nature.
  • The Life Up item is also functionally similar to the Life Mushrooms and the Life-Up Hearts in theSuper Mario series, with both items fully healing the player and increasing their maximum health.
• According to thefigure description for Item-Shop Waddle Dee, he is the one responsible for making theEnergy Drinks sold at the Waddle Dee Café.
