Vending Mouth is aMouthful Mode that involvesKirby wrapping himself around a vending machine in order to take control of it, allowing him to spit rapid volleys of soda cans at enemies to defeat them. These projectiles can also be used to bust open barricades, and - if they do not hit an enemy or fly off the edge of the map - will drop as collectablefood items that can be picked up to restorehealth and replenish the machine's stock by one can.

Vending Mouth only has a limited amount of ammunition. If Kirby runs out, he will be unable to fire any more soda cans, and the vending machine will break when he spits it back out. A new vending machine with replenished stock will appear at the spot where the first one was found, even if Kirby left the vending machine somewhere else with some stock left.

Moveset[edit]

• A (orB) - Jump
• B (orY) - Soda Shot: Kirby can fire a limited number of soda cans before running out. Each vending machine will come with a certain amount of starting cans, from as few as three (inForgo Horns) up to 999 (inPop Shots! A Vending Adventure), but ranges around 99-199 are most common. Kirby cannot jump while firing cans.

Trivia[edit]

• The text on the vending machine reads "Alivel beverage", however the consonants in beverage are all rotated and modified from the lettering normally used in the game for the new world's language.
• The number of cans a vending machine starts with is the maximum number of cans that particular vending machine can hold. As such, if Kirby picks up additional cans during Vending Mouth that would increase the number of cans above its starting value, the number will not increase and the cans are consumed. This can happen onInvasion at the House of Horrors.
