Uniclods areenemies who appeared inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn. They first appear in-game in theFlower Fields stage, inGrass Land (although in the opening cutscene, the monster chasingPrince Fluff around is a Uniclod as well). Uniclods are new enemies created byYin-Yarn to help him take overPatch Land; they are very proud of their horns and try to use those horns to charge intoKirby, harming him. If Kirby is hit by a charging Uniclod, Kirby will lose several beads.
Uniclods can be defeated by using Kirby's yarn whip on them. If Kirby tries to crush them with hisweight, while they are standing up, he will be damaged by the contact. If Kirby usesRoll Up to roll up Uniclod, it will transform into an arrow which will pierce through enemies when thrown.
Uniclod's name comes from "unicorn", a mythical creature with a single horn, and "Cyclod".
Locations[edit]
Uniclod can be found in the following levels and stages inKirby's (Extra) Epic Yarn:
In theKirby novel series[edit]
Some Uniclods appear in theKirby: Big Trouble in Patch Land! volume of theKirby novel series. One appears briefly in chapter 2, and attacksPrince Fluff while he andKirby are walking around in Grass Land. Just before it can attack Fluff, however, Kirby uses hisYarn Whip for the first time, tearing apart the monster. Later on, in the final battle againstYin-Yarn, he knits four Uniclods to attack Kirby, but Kirby uses his Yarn Whip to grab them and throw them back as yarn balls at Yin-Yarn.
In the first chapter, a "horned monster" chases after Prince Fluff. Despite it not being explicitly stated, this monster is likely a Uniclod; this is the case in the games' opening, and the description suits the Uniclods.
