"Top Ride: Fire" (capitalized as"Top Ride: FIRE" in theSound Test) is a theme that plays in theFireTop Ride course inKirby Air Ride.
Composition[edit]
"Top Ride: Fire" is a lively and jazzy theme in C Lydian dominant and 4/4. It starts off with a bright dominant fanfare as an intro. The instrumentation consists of brass and electric instruments such as an electric guitar and synthesizers. They gradually build up in the first section twice. The i-iv-v progression of the melody highlights the Lydian aspect (the high subdominant), while the melody peaks at the low leading tone characteristic of Lydian dominant. A brief trombone solo leads into the second section. Here, sequences of slowly rising tetrachords and strong percussion create tension. After three tetrachords full of dissonant tritones and seconds, the fourth one returns to a more stable dominant with a glorious tutti that concludes the second section. The bridge back to the first section is based on the initial motif and played quietly in the low registers with a cymbal crash in between the phrases. The dominant fanfare then repeats as the track loops.

InKirby Air Ride, this theme plays in theTop RideFire course, and is the default theme for it. It can be unlocked in theSound Test by completing theChecklist objective "Take 1st place 10 times or more!" in the Fire course.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]
InKirby and the Rainbow Curse, "Top Ride: Fire" is the second theme featured in "Top Ride Medley".
Kirby Air Riders[edit]
Despite theFire course not returning inKirby Air Riders, the original theme can be purchased in theMiles Shop for theMusic Room and My Music. It is simply titled"Fire" in this game.
