Overview[edit]
The level begins with a series of thin bridges over a sea of lava. As Kirby heads to the right, several pieces of the bridge sink into the lava, taking someCottas with them. The door can be found to the right suspended in the air, though aMaxim Tomato and mediumPoint Star can be collected here as well.

The main boss area is a big rectangular room with the floor consisting if a thin walkway over another lava pit. The Claykken himself appears in the background from a hole in the floor, and wipes the sweat from his brow as he begins his attack. In the first phase of the fight, The Claykken sticks his main two tentacle arms through holes to reach Kirby in the foreground, with the flippers covered in spikes, which temporarily punches holes in the floor when coming from below. Kirby will need to hit the arms to deal damage to them, and causePoint Stars to rain out. When it becomes apparent that this tentacle strategy is not working, The Claykken begins the second phase of the fight by fully entering the field. He attacks by launching himself like a torpedo at Kirby, while also leaving clouds of ink behind him. After each third firing, however, The Claykken gets stuck in the wall, and Kirby can attack his exposed underbelly to damage him. Done enough times, The Claykken will be defeated, spiraling back into the hole from whence he came and laying there upside-down, leaving Kirby and Elline to do their victory dance.
