The Beast Pack's Final Stand is the fifth stage ofRedgar Forbidden Lands inKirby and the Forgotten Land. In this stage, Kirby infiltrates the inner sanctum of theBeast Pack, taking out lots of them as he moves through the area, using a wide array ofMouthful Modes in the process.

There are three Capsules from Vol. 1, one from Vol. 2, and one from Vol. 3 to collect in this stage, and fivemissions to complete. There are a total of 11 Waddle Dees to rescue here, when including the mission objectives.

Stage overview[edit]

This stage has a somewhat unique structure, with two main areas, the first of which has two large detour rooms along the way, with a short introductory area at the start.

To start, Kirby finds his way to the broken entrance of an underground facility. He heads down a long ladder and gets on the elevator, which takes him down.

As Kirby enters the first main area, he rides the elevator until it reaches the bottom, at which a huge door opens to reveal a large assembly ofBeast Pack members waiting for him. Kirby does battle with this group before proceeding further into the base. From here, he can useScissor-Lift Mouth to head down a long corridor, using barriers on the path to shield himself from spewing lava rocks. At the end of this path, Kirby reaches a doorway.

Once inside, Kirby finds himself in a large hall where a group ofRabiroos are hopping around aPoison Croakom. Kirby needs to move past this group and head down the hall, where he will need to dodge the poison spit of more Croakoms. At the end of this hall, Kirby can obtainWater-Balloon Mouth and then head back the way he came on an elevated pathway to deal with the Croakoms. From here, he heads back out the way he came.

Back on the main path, Kirby steps out of the door and the wall it was in sinks into the lava to reveal the way forward. Kirby heads down the next part of this path usingVending Mouth to clear the way forward. From here, he can duck into another doorway up ahead.

This next room is similar to the first detour area, but this time featuring a moat of water patrolled byGnawcodiles. Kirby will need to make his way through here and reach the other side to find a hoop to use forRing Mouth. On his way back, he can use a boat to defeat all of the Gnawcodiles, and then head back out the way he came.

Back on the main path, the wall ahead sinks just like the one before. After dealing with another enemy ambush, Kirby can inhale an archway to obtainArch Mouth, then glide into the next main area.

The second main area starts with Kirby gliding through a long metal tunnel, using his spin to activateWindmill Switches and deal with enemies. Once at the end of the flight path, Kirby finds himself in a room containing aBig Red Tortuilding that spews fiery chunks of concrete his way. Kirby will need to sidestep it for now and move along the main path until he finds a cone to use forCone Mouth. With this he can head back, hop on top of the Tortuilding's shell, and defeat it. This done, the gold cage appears and Kirby can complete this stage.

Differences between difficulties[edit]

In Wild Mode, the initial battle with the Beast Pack has two additional Primal Awoofies and two Rabiroos added to the group. The Gnawcodiles in the second detour room swim much faster. AJabhog is included in the ambush at the archway. The rest is the same as it is in Spring-Breeze Mode.

Missions[edit]

The Beast Pack's Final Stand has five missions to complete, as follows:

• "Clear the stage" - Kirby must complete the stage.
• "Save the hidden Waddle Dees" - Kirby must find and rescue the five hidden Waddle Dees in silver cages. Their locations are as follows:
  • Waddle Dee 1: This Waddle Dee can be found on the platform in the middle of theScissor-Lift Mouth section in the main hallway.
  • Waddle Dee 2: This Waddle Dee can be found in the first detour room, above the firstPoison Croakom. Kirby needs to backtrack after obtaining Water-Balloon Mouth and defeat this enemy to get to the Waddle Dee. Collecting this Waddle Dee is required to proceed.
  • Waddle Dee 3: This Waddle Dee can be found along the main hallway, at the end of theVending Mouth/Stairs Mouth section. Kirby needs to bring down the stairs using Vending Mouth and then move them over to the other side to reach the Waddle Dee.
  • Waddle Dee 4: This Waddle Dee can be found in the second detour room, above the firstGnawcodile. Kirby needs to backtrack after obtaining Ring Mouth and use it to defeat the Gnawcodile in order to save the Waddle Dee. Collecting this Waddle Dee is required to proceed.
  • Waddle Dee 5: This Waddle Dee can be found during the Arch Mouth gliding section. Kirby needs to spin all of the Windmill Switches along the way to make this Waddle Dee appear near the end.
• "Defeat all the beasts in the starting area" - At the point where the first battle occurs, Kirby must defeat all of his opponents.
• "Remove 5 beast-base wanted posters" - Kirby must locate and remove all of the Beast Pack's wanted posters. Their locations are as follows:
  • Poster 1: This poster can be found in the main hallway, shortly after the big battle at the start.
  • Poster 2: This poster can be found in the first detour room, in the space where the Rabiroos are bouncing around the Poison Croakom. It is easier to see on the way back out.
  • Poster 3: This poster can be found just off the walkway leading to the set of storage cabinets in the way on the main path.
  • Poster 4: This poster can be found in the second detour room, on the platform where Kirby gets Ring Mouth.
  • Poster 5: This poster can be found near where Kirby gets Cone Mouth in the last area.
• "Don't fall in the lava while using Cone Mouth" - During the Cone Mouth section, Kirby needs to avoid touching the lava.
