Tankbot

Tankbot is aMetamortextransformation inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn. In this form,Kirby orPrince Fluff pilot a large round tank-like vehicle which somewhat resembles them in body shape. The transformation first appears inFountain Gardens inGrass Land.
Abilities[edit]
In this form, they have the ability to fire an unlimited number of missiles and hover for a short period of time, though the Tankbot has a limited jumping range.
While playing in single-player, Kirby assumes the position of the one controlling the robot while being inside a cabin, with the robot itself having what appear to be glass eyes. In two-player mode, the character who did not grab the Metamortex will be the one inside the cabin, which can control a punching glove at the side of the Tankbot, and the one that did grab the Metamortex will become the Tankbot itself, with his respective eyes being the Tankbot's and controlling everything else. The punching glove protects from enemies by rotating around and bashing them and can also be fired as a controllable missile.
Meta Knight gives Kirby and Prince Fluff the Metamortex for the Tankbot form when they are about to fightMega Yin-Yarn.

The music used for the Tankbot transformation is theKirby Air Ride remix of "Shooting", here named "Tankbot". The CD for this song is located in the Moon Base stage of Space Land.

Kirby Mass Attack[edit]
An opaque version of the Tankbot appears as one of the "Excellent" attacks inKirby Quest fromKirby Mass Attack, with there being two versions of the attack. One using the design for the single-player Tankbot, having glass eyes and lacking gloves, and the other taking inspiration from the two-player design, having animated eyes and gloves. Here, the latter has both the Tankbot designed after Kirby and the pilot also being Kirby himself, unlike inKirby's Epic Yarn, where one position was based on Kirby and the other on Prince Fluff.
