Main and secondary[edit]

Since there is often disagreement if characters are the main or secondary antagonists of a game, in particular since inKirby games that line can be blurry, and there's often a big bad behind everything and that is very or very little involved in the plot, I think it is just simpler to remove this categorization and simply call characters protagonists, antagonists, and supporting characters. There has been edit wars in the past about these and these can be arbitrary and up to interpretation. I think it is simpler to just not use them as I don't think it adds much anyway to these categorization of characters. Thoughts? -Gigi (talkedits) 02:23, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

I think this is a good idea to avoid unnecessary disputes. However, I do Kirby specifically should keep his "main protagonist" description, since he's the main protagonist of the series as a whole and a main protagonist in every single game (except forDedede's Drum Dash Deluxe). (Also definitely change Galacta Knight's "Extra Mode antagonist" description as well, it sounds a little silly and isn't even accurate toSuper Kirby Clash.)-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:18, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
This sounds reasonable and yeah, this disputes are pointless. Full support.Superbound(talk) 22:09, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Characters to add to this page[edit]

I've noticed that a lot of relatively important characters aren't listed on this page. So, I'm gonna turn this talk page into a sort of unofficial unprofessional multi-proposal, by listing a bunch of characters that may or may not qualify to be on the article in subsections on this talk page that everyone can reply to separately, and discuss whether or not they should be added to the list of characters on this page.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Bosses fromKirby's Dream Land[edit]

Whispy Woods[edit]

Definitely the most iconic boss in the series. While is not an individual character but rather a whole species with different variations, there is often only one Whispy Woods per game, and other species like Waddle Dees and Doos are already included on the page.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Lololo & Lalala[edit]

These characters are a bit more obscure and haven't had many major roles, but with their playable inclusion inKirby Air Riders I think they could be included.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Kabula[edit]

This one I'm more mixed on, as Kabula has never had a playable role and isn't as iconic as Whispy Woods or Kracko, but if every other boss from this game is included it'd feel weird to leave her out.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Kracko[edit]

The second most iconic boss after Whispy Woods, and (aside from a few exceptions) he is consistently considered a single character due to his iconicKirby Fighters Deluxe pause screen description.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Other recurring and/or relatively important bosses[edit]

Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright[edit]

This duo of bosses is relatively unimportant, but they did appear very commonly in early games (even having a speaking role inKirby's Avalanche), and their titles of "Mr." do make them feel more important.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Ice Dragon[edit]

This icy dragon has appeared in a surprising number of games, though it doesn't seem like as much of a "character" as most others in this list.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Pon & Con[edit]

Another relatively unimportant duo of bosses, though their unique role inKirby Star Allies might give them a step up.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Acro[edit]

While only having appear properly in two games, Acro is one of the only major bosses that didn't debut in one of the first twoKirby games to do so.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Grand Doomer[edit]

The boss of theSphere Doomers that are very common inKirby's Return to Dream Land, who even returned as a major antagonist asCrowned Doomer in Magolor Epilogue.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Paintra[edit]

Despite seeming like a one-off character, Paintra is directly implied to be the sister ofDrawcia, plus she makes a cameo inKirby Air Riders.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Gigavolt[edit]

While it's primarily just a giant robot, its numerous appearances in its debut game and return inKirby Fighters 2 might let it be considered a proper character.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Parallel Susie[edit]

While she's primarily just another version of Susie, her inclusion in two different games, as well as herharder counterpart andKirby Air Riders reference make her feel a lot more important.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Dark Taranza andKing D-Mind[edit]

I literally just realized that these two aren't on the page despite being the main antagonists ofTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe, and their exclusion honestly feels like a mistake consideringParallel Nightmare is included. I'm 100% certain these two should be featured on the page.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Gorimondo andSillydillo[edit]

Similar to the other Squeaks, the exclusion of these two members of the Beast Council might feel a bit odd, though they don't play as major of roles asCarol andLeon do.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

TheSqueaks[edit]

It just feels weird to leaveStoro,Spinni, andDoc out of this list when Daroach is there (though theSqueakers can stay as they're just common enemies with no major role).-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Enemies and mid-bosses playable inKirby Air Riders[edit]

Chef Kawasaki[edit]

Probably the most iconic mid-boss, who has been playable as a helper and also played unique roles inKirby's Dream Land 3,Kirby's Star Stacker (Super Famicom),Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, and (while not a game)Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, allowing him to feel much more like a "character".-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Knuckle Joe[edit]

One of the most iconic common enemies, who has also been playable as a helper before, and appears as an individual inKirby's Star Stacker (Super Famicom),Kirby Battle Royale, and (while not a game)Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, also making him feel more like a "character".-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Cappy[edit]

A common enemy that, despite not having had a major role outside ofKirby Air Riders (and as a common species inKirby: Right Back at Ya!), is still very iconic.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Rocky[edit]

This common enemy has not had any unique roles but has somehow been playable 4 times, though 3 of these have been as helpers.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Scarfy[edit]

Another common enemy that has no major roles outside of being playable in a major game.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Starman[edit]

Definitely the most obscure enemy on this list (as pointed out by Masahiro Sakurai himself), but Starman has become very iconic inKirby Air Riders.-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)

Other recurring mid-bosses and enemies[edit]

There are many, many other mid-bosses and enemies that have either appeared in a bunch of games or have had playable roles. However, I don't feel confident that any of them should be included, due to their unimportance to the stories of the games they appear in, as almost all of them either show up randomly in stages or appear as generic playable helpers that Kirby can summon whenever (unlike the playable enemies in theKirby Air Riders roster, which is a lot more hand-picked). So instead, I'll let anyone suggest any mid-bosses and enemies not included in this talk page that they think could be added to the page (or they can create another subsection for any characters I might have forgotten).-RHVGamer(talk ·edits) 16:12, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
