Superspicy Curry

Superspicy Curry, formerly known asSpicy Food[1], is an item that appears inKirby's Dream Land. When collected, it allowsKirby to spew a continuous stream of fire from his mouth as he runs, damaging enemies in the process. In effect, it is similar to theFire orBurningCopy Abilities that would appear later in the series. As such, it has not made any notable reappearances in the main series since its debut.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby's Dream Land[edit]
Spicy Food first appears inKirby's Dream Land. It appears in various locations, starting inCastle Lololo. It is useful for clearing out large areas of enemies quickly. If Kirby enters a body of water after consuming the curry, its effects will immediately be extinguished, returning Kirby to normal.
Kirby's Pinball Land[edit]
Spicy Food makes an appearance in the bonus game inKracko Land. Here, it does not convey any special effects, though it is worth 2000 points when Kirby eats it.
Kirby Mass Attack[edit]
Superspicy Curry appears as one of the "Excellent" attacks inKirby Quest fromKirby Mass Attack. For the attack, a Kirby moves to the center of the screen and eats the Superspicy Curry, releasing a fiery breath that hits all of the enemies.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]
Superspicy Curry does not appear directly inKirby: Triple Deluxe, but it does appear as one of thekeychains in the game, depicted as its sprite fromKirby's Dream Land.
Kirby Battle Royale[edit]
InKirby Battle Royale, Superspicy Curry takes the form of aBoost Orb that can be tapped to activate during a battle, allowing the user to blow flames for 10 seconds while running uncontrollably.
Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]
Superspicy Curry does not appear directly inKirby's Dream Buffet, but it does appear as one of theCharacter Treats in the game, depicted as its sprite fromKirby's Dream Land.
Kirby Air Riders[edit]
InKirby Air Riders, Superspicy Curry is utilized inChef Kawasaki'sSpecial, Superspicy Cooking. During the move, Chef Kawasaki throws around many plates of Superspicy Curry for a limited time, causing any rider who happens to touch one to take damage and spew out flames. Chef Kawasaki also holds up one of these plates during one of his victory animations.
Super Smash Bros. series[edit]
Starting withSuper Smash Bros. Brawl, and appearing again in later installments, Superspicy Curry is one of the items that can appear. Collecting it causes the fighter to continuously spew fireballs from their mouths, allowing them to chain the fire with their normal attacks. While spewing fire, the fighter is unable to move slowly, and adopts a humorous painful animation when not moving.

Superspicy Curry appears in theKirby: Right Back at Ya! episodeA Spice Odyssey, here namedToxic Atomic Curry. Here, it was created by the infamousChef Kawasaki while engaged in a spice war with a rival restaurant run by themonsterMonsieur Goan. The curry in question is the pinnacle of spiciness, being the only dish spicy enough to overwhelmKirby, and allowing him to defeat the monster running the other restaurant, albeit painfully.
At the end of the episode, the Toxic Atomic Curry is used to punishKing Dedede andEscargoon for trying to get Kirby eaten. They initially believe themselves able to handle the dish, but are reduced to piles of ash after a single bite.
