"Sunny with a Chance of Oasis" is a stage theme fromKirby's Return to Dream Land. This theme was composed byHirokazu Ando. So far, this theme has not been remixed in any other game.

Composition[edit]

Transcription of the melody and bass lines of the track, omitting other accompanying parts like the organ. The transcription shows the playfully zigzagging progression of the melody at the outset of the song.

"Sunny with a Chance of Oasis" is a bright, cheery song that starts in the key of C. It appears to be inspired by earlyska androcksteady, which is characterized by a tropical feel and an emphasis on the off beats. The first portion has a melody that goes up three notes then goes back down. It goes up again, but this time it goes to a high C note and descends three notes down. It then goes up again three notes from an A-note and then goes down again. This portion repeats a second time, then goes into a short section in E-flat major. This portion is played by a woodwind-like instrument. After the flute portion, it goes into the note progression again, and the song loops (it goes back to C major at this point).
