You got a Sun Stone!

Thepower of the sun lies within! Find as many as you can, and open up the pathway to the boss!

— Flavor text after the firstSun Stone is collected

ASun Stone is a floating blue gemstone surrounded by a gold floral crest that acts as acollectible inKirby: Triple Deluxe. Sun Stones emanate the power of the sun and are scattered around the kingdom ofFloralia.Kirby must collect them to grow theDreamstalk from one floating island to the next. Collecting a certain amount of Sun Stones is required to face theboss in each level, and collecting all of the stones in the main stages of each level is required to open that level's EX stage. After they are collected, Sun Stones will appear grayed-out if they are revisited in the stage. Collecting them again yields Kirby 10Point Stars.

There are 100 total Sun Stones in the game, and collecting them all rewards Kirby with theQueen SectoniaKeychain. There are also fiveGrand Sun Stones, obtained from each of the first five bosses, which are what drive the Dreamstalk's growth to each subsequent level.

InKirby's Dream Buffet, a Sun Stone is depicted on one of the game'sCharacter Treats.

Sun Stone distribution[edit]

Kirby holds a Grand Sun Stone after defeating a boss.

Each stage contains anywhere from 1 to 4 Sun Stones. Grand Sun Stones, which are found in Boss Stages, are not counted here.

For information on how to obtain each stone, see the individualstage pages for each level inKirby: Triple Deluxe.

Trivia[edit]

  • It is suggested in an officialMiiverse post that the Sun Stones were created by "someone who dislikes the sun" in order to take awayFloralia's light, transforming it into jewels and thus making it more difficult to cultivate theDreamstalk.[1]

  1. "In this game, you cultivate the Dreamstalk in order to progress. This requires Sun Stones and Grand Sun Stones - jewels that contain the power of the sun's rays. So the sun, which is of course a star, is a key item in this game! Perhaps someone who dislikes the sun has tried to rob Floralia of its light by transforming that light into jewels..?" –Shinya Kumazaki (Archived Miiverse post)
