Stock Mecha Knight is an entirely robotic duplicate ofMecha Knight built by theHaltmann Works Company, which serves as the "2.0" version of the Mecha Knight battle inKirby: Planet Robobot. As the name implies, it is an upgraded mass-production version of Mecha Knight, which the Haltmann Works Company intends to market for combat purposes.Meta Knight faces down this dangerous robot doppelgänger at the end ofGigabyte Grounds inMeta Knightmare Returns, andKirby faces it inThe True Arena.
Characteristics[edit]
Stock Mecha Knight looks and functions nearly identically to Mecha Knight, save for its mostly monochrome appearance and enhancedHP and attack power. Notably, the eyepiece has been moved to the center of the mask, and the light sword is blue in hue. It also gains the extended claw tail during its second phase, making it similar toMecha Knight+ as well.
Attacks[edit]
The following lists all of Stock Mecha Knight's attacks inKirby: Planet Robobot. Most attack names are taken from Japanese strategy guides while others are derived from other sources or are conjectural.
Throughout the battle, Stock Mecha Knight may take a guarding stance. Any attacks that hit it during this pose deal no damage.
Attacks - Phase 1 | |
---|---|
Attack | Description |
たてぎり Overhead Slash | Stock Mecha Knight throws out a quick strike with its sword, with very little forewarning. |
3れんぎり Triple Slash | Stock Mecha Knight slashes three times with its sword, leaving a star after finishing the third slash. In the second phase, Stock Mecha Knight can immediately follow it up with a Multisword Attack. |
ドリルスラッシュ Drill Stab | Stock Mecha Knight thrusts its sword a good distance, leaving a star in front of it when the attack concludes. |
うえつき Up Thrust | Stock Mecha Knight quickly thrusts its sword upward, only if Kirby or Meta Knight is above it at the time. |
したづき Down Thrust | Stock Mecha Knight leaps into the air, then thrusts its sword downward, leaving stars when it impacts the ground. |
回てんぎり Spin Slash | Stock Mecha Knight charges up, then releases a powerful spin attack that can catch its opponent in the motion and leaves four stars when finishing. If Kirby or Meta Knight is airborne during the charge up, Stock Mecha Knight spins in the air instead of staying grounded à la Twister Slash. |
ソード百れつぎり Multisword Attack | Stock Mecha Knight spins its sword in a fan-like motion, then finishes off by firing a Crescent Shot from it which can be angled towards Kirby's or Meta Knight's current location, leaving two stars when the attack concludes. |
スピニングビームソード Spinning Beam Sword | Stock Mecha Knight jumps through the air, and performs a quick spinning sword strike. It can continue spinning until it lands, leaving a star as it does. |
ファイナルビームソード Final Beam Sword | Stock Mecha Knight jumps with a continuous vertical spinning slash. When it lands, its sword sends out a shockwave that travels across the floor. |
ムーンビームショット Crescent Beam Shot | Stock Mecha Knight charges up and then throws out three Crescent Shots that travel across the stage, leave stars on impact and home in towards Kirby or Meta Knight's current positioning. |
アイビーム Eye Beam | Stock Mecha Knight fires a series of six lasers from its eyepiece, with some leaving stars on impact. During the second phase, it may do this a second time after re-positioning. |
ショルダーランチャー Shoulder Launcher | Stock Mecha Knight leaps into the air, then fires eight missiles from its launchers that home in on the location Kirby or Meta Knight stood at before the first one gets fired. This can cause them to explode without making contact with anything else. The missiles can be swallowed for theBomb ability. During the second phase, it may do this a second time after re-positioning. |
たつまき雷めい Thunder Tornado | Stock Mecha Knight charges up, then thrusts its sword into the ground, creating a wall of lightning that travels across the stage, leaving stars as it goes. |
3D Eye Beam[conjectural title] | Stock Mecha Knight charges up, then releases a continuous laser from its eye, which it uses to sweep across the stage, leaving a star in the middle of the stage and one on the side the laser last appeared on when finishing. The laser beam sweeps much faster than Mecha Knight or Mecha Knight+'s versions. |
スパークトルネイドアタック Spark Tornado Attack | Stock Mecha Knight spins into a tornado, then flies off into the background. From there, it aims for its opponent and attempts to ram its target, leaving two stars as it passes. After this, it spins back down in a wave pattern from the top of the stage, leaving four more stars when it lands. |
In Phase 2 of the fight, Stock Mecha Knight extends its claw tail, and performs the following new attacks:
Additional attacks - Phase 2 | |
---|---|
Attack | Description |
バックアームズ Back Arms | The apparatus on Stock Mecha Knight's back extends into a giant clawed tail, which is used for the "Arms Punch," "Rush Punch" and "Arms Grip" attacks. The tail retracts after completion of all three (though Arms Punch is not used after this attack activates for the first time). |
ラッシュパンチ Rush Punch | Stock Mecha Knight's claw tail delivers a rapid series of punches, finishing with a punch into the wall that leaves two stars. |
アームズグリップ Arms Grip | Stock Mecha Knight attaches its claw tail to the ceiling, then lifts itself into the air. From there, it starts firing beams from its sword at Meta Knight or Kirby. The beams leave stars on impact. It does this attack twice, temporarily retracting the claw tail to reposition for the second set. |
メガビームソード Mega Beam Sword | Stock Mecha Knight flies into the background. It charges energy into its sword to make it larger, then it flies into the air above its opponent and stabs downward three times, leaving two stars per impact and intentionally delaying the third stab. |
メガアイビーム Mega Eye Beam | From the center of the stage, Stock Mecha Knight charges up and fires several large lasers from its eyepiece. Each one leaves a star behind. Immediately afterward, Stock Mecha Knight flies off the stage, and causes debris to fall on its opponent in four waves. The larger pieces leave stars on impact. |
プラズマウォーク Plasma Walk | Stock Mecha Knight charges a large electric field around itself, which will hurt its opponent if he gets too close. Stock Mecha Knight leaves electric fields and stars as it approaches its opponent, both on foot and in the air. Stock Mecha Knight itself leaves two stars once the attack concludes. |
アームズパンチ Arms Punch | Stock Mecha Knight charges, then smashes its claw tail into the ground, leaving two stars on impact. It does this three times in a row before proceeding to use Rush Punch. If Kirby or Meta Knight get behind it during the attack, then it repositions to the other side of the stage before attempting to smash the claw tail again. |
Its defeat animation is identical to that of Mecha Knight+, except the mass-produced knight explodes after the tail claw does.
