Stickers (sometimes calledStamps[1]) are objects which allow the player to communicate with other players during local wireless or online play inSuper Kirby Clash. They consist of pieces of character artwork, mainly from other games in theKirby series, along with a sound effect and a caption (though not all stickers have captions). These captions are general use phrases which can be utilized in team rooms and during quests to express varying emotions or sentiments. Stickers are used by pressing the X button to bring up a menu of available ones, selecting one with the Control Stick, and then confirming with the A button. When displayed, stickers will be backed by a circle or other shape whose color matches theKirby the sending player is controlling.
The player is given seven stickers to start with, but 48 more can be bought atMagolor's Shoppe usingGem Apples, making for a total of 55. Some of these purchasable stickers cannot be bought until specific quests are completed. Purchasing and using stickers also contributes to completing someHeroic Missions. From the Profile screen, the player can then choose which stickers to have active during quests, or try them out.
Sticker use[edit]
When a sticker is used, it displays the image on-screen to all players along with a caption (where appropriate) and a corresponding sound for about 3 seconds before it disappears. If another sticker is chosen to display before the first one vanishes, the new sticker will immediately supplant the old one. Stickers can be used in the following places:
- in the "Form a Party" screen.
- almost any point during aquest, including enemy intros, intermissions, andTeam Meteor strikes (but not during the Team Meteor meter portion).
- in the Stickers sub-menu for the profile.
It should be noted that stickers can also be used in single player, despite not having a clear purpose in these cases. Additionally, when the enemy is defeated in an online Party Quest, the player is immediately disconnected from any other online players, meaning that any stickers sent during the defeat animation will not be received.
