TheSteer Star is one of the two star-typeAir Ride Machines only available inTop Ride inKirby Air Ride. This vehicle's controls differ from theFree Star, but are similar to the larger-sized machines used inAir Ride: it turns only when left and right inputs are executed via the analog stick or directional pad. Specifically, holding right will always turn the machine clockwise, and holding left will always turn the machine counterclockwise, regardless of its current orientation.

The Steer Star and Free Star are removed inKirby Air Riders; instead, the option between Steer Control and Free Control is turned into a setting, and players can choose any Air Ride Machine to use these controls with. Even so, both machines are referenced in Top Ride's Checklist completion video: some riders can be seen riding aMy MachineJet Star modeled after the Steer Star.

Appearance[edit]

This machine appears as a strange, vaguely shaped five-pointed star, colored a light-blue hue. It is very streamlined, in comparison with its larger counterparts, and is adorned with a single, elongated, white-yellow stripe; an arrowhead-like shape towards the front, and a crescent shape near the rear. Also worth noting: when viewed from above (during Top Ride), the machine appropriately resembles an arrow.

As so with its cousin, no apparent propulsion units are equipped.
