Sir Ebrum is a supporting character in the anime seriesKirby: Right Back at Ya!. He is the father ofTiff andTuff and husband ofLady Like, and serves asKing Dedede's prime minister, though his actual duties at court are never made clear. Sir Ebrum is defined by his timid and sometimes aloof personality, and does not appear to play much of a role in mentoring his children, though he does sincerely care for them and for his wife. Sir Ebrum does not have much of a role in most episodes, excepting his roles inThe Thing About the Ring andCooking Up Trouble.
Characteristics[edit]
Sir Ebrum has a vaguely humanoid appearance, with deep yellow skin and a tall, somewhat plump physique. His face is dominated by a large lavender mustache and his hair is long and combed into frills at the sides, similar to a powdered wig often worn by British noblemen in the Enlightenment era. His clothing consists of a purple overcoat accented with white trimmings around the collar and sleeves, white laces along the front, and an orange bow tie. He wears a long brown skirt which covers his feet and drags along the floor behind him, making him similar in silhouette toDoctor Yabui.
Sir Ebrum is overall very timid in personality, and is generally unable to stand up for himself without assistance from other characters. This disposition results in him often being overruled by Lady Like when it comes to disciplining their children, and also causes him to reluctantly support most of what "His Majesty" King Dedede decrees, if only in word. Sir Ebrum is also prone to panic and anxiety, which is demonstrated inThe Thing About the Ring when he explains how he fumbled every single attempt to present Lady Like with a wedding ring on their anniversary due to his jittery nervousness causing him to drop the ring and lose it to some unfortunate happenstance.
Despite these faults, Sir Ebrum is generally kind and sincere, particularly when it comes to his family. InCooking Up Trouble, he is seen cooking for his kids when Lady Like is off with her friends, and despite his inexperience, he creates something tasty for them, which leads to him being confused as a great chef. He also cares forKirby's well-being, though Sir Ebrum is never in a position to help the pinkStar Warrior when he is in trouble.

Trivia[edit]
- The name "Sir Ebrum" sounds similar to the word "cerebrum", referring to the portion of the brain responsible for higher thinking in humans. Despite this naming, Sir Ebrum is not known for any great level of genius in the show.
- Notably, in the 4Kids version, Sir Ebrum speaks with a vaguely British accent, despite this not being inherited by either of his kids.
- InA Sunsational Puzzle, images of Sir Ebrum when he was young show him with brown hair and a style of dress similar to the fashion of the 1960s. This appears to imply that he and Lady Like are much older than would be typical for a family with relatively young kids, though their real ages are never revealed.
