"Shiver Star: Stage Select"[conjectural title] is the theme that plays in the stage select forShiver Star. It was composed byJun Ishikawa orHirokazu Ando.

Composition[edit]

A chart of the desolate winter wonderland.

Due to its role as a stage select theme, "Shiver Star: Stage Select" is relatively short. It somewhat resembles the sound of a music box in its repetitive phrases. It plays in G minor at 6/8 and has a melancholic character. Its melody features a tonic triad in second inversion, followed by a rising phrase and several gradually descending phrases leading back to where it begins. The simple yet perpetual bassline makes the piece reminiscent of abarcarolle.
