This article is about the stage theme from Kirby Super Star and its remake. For the stage theme from Kirby's Dream Land 3 with the same Japanese name, seeRipple Field: Ocean Waves.

"Sea Stage"[Japanese title] is a stage theme fromKirby Super Star. It can be heard inChapter 2 ofRevenge of Meta Knight and inAquarius inMilky Way Wishes. Aside from its reappearance inKirby Super Star Ultra, this theme hasn't been remixed or re-arranged in any future game so far. It is often mistakenly referred to by English-speaking fans as "Grape Garden" due toMeta Knight's line of dialogue when the music first plays in Revenge of Meta Knight ("Our first target...Grape Garden!" / "But first a little test. Off to Grape Gardens!").

Composition[edit]

Unsurprisingly, the "Sea Stage" theme plays in the sea-themed stages.

"Sea Stage" is an upbeat track in F major that plays at around 155 BPM. It has an intro that sounds very similar to the second portion of "Float Islands". After it goes into the first portion of the theme, it goes into the second portion which goes into D minor for a few moments and then goes back into F major just to then go into A flat major and have some sort of descending scale. It does this again (albeit with different-sounding instruments), and the music loops from there.

This theme is quite similar to "Float Islands", and can also be compared to "Ripple Field: Ocean Waves" fromKirby's Dream Land 3 and "Aqua Star" fromKirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
