| “ | It must feel nice to float around all day. If only it wasn't trying to paralyse you! | ” | — British English Patch Plaza description |
Sea Jelly, namedSky Jelly in the British English version, is a large floating cnidarianenemy appearing inKirby's Epic Yarn andKirby's Extra Epic Yarn. It has an orange cap, white tentacles, and yellow, X-shaped eyes.
Found exclusively in theMushroom Run stage, Sea Jelly floats in the air, where it will periodically release spores that will grow mushrooms on and immobilizeKirby orPrince Fluff until they are shaken off. Kirby and Prince Fluff can briefly stand on top of its cap, but the Sea Jelly will electrocute them if they remain for too long.
Sea Jelly can be defeated byyarn balls and theWeight ability, and can also be rolled up or undone with theYarn Whip.
Trivia[edit]
- Contrary to the given name and caption in the American English version, Sea Jelly is not found in the sea, nor does it possess stinging tentacles. Both its name and description are altered in the British English version.
