Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards[edit]
InKirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Ribbon's Crystal is only available via collecting all of theCrystal Shards. Otherwise, thebad ending occurs after defeatingMiracle Matter.
Ribbon's Crystal enablesKirby andRibbon to fly around in a full 3D space while shooting Crystal Shards in order to defeat0², the true final boss. Up to 4 shots can be fired in a row. Once the fight begins, Kirby automatically obtains the power, and is unable to lose it during the ensuing battle. As opposed to other abilities where his physical form changes, his appearance stays the same with the exception of Ribbon being paired with him.
If the Kanji display is selected in the Japanese version of the game, the icons of Ribbon's Crystal will show妖晶, which means "Fairy-Crystal".
Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]
The Ribbon Icon and the Crystal Icon appear as twostickers respectively inKirby: Planet Robobot.
Kirby Star Allies[edit]
InKirby Star Allies,Adeleine, paired up with Ribbon as aDream Friend, can use Ribbon's Crystal by pressing the attack button during Ribbon Flight, now being used entirely in 2D. This time, Adeleine is the shooter and 2 shots are fired in a row every time the attack button is pressed.

Trivia[edit]
- During the intro animation of the battle against 0², there is a small second after Ribbon catches Kirby but before he grabs the Crystal Shard where the Ribbon power will be displayed in the UI standalone without the Crystal power. As this happens before control is granted to the player, this has no gameplay application.
