"Rhythm Code"[2] is the primary puzzle room theme inKirby: Planet Robobot. It was composed byJun Ishikawa.[1]

Composition[edit]

Ice Mode Kirby puzzle solving.

"Rhythm Code" is a techno piece in natural A minor and 4/4. It begins with a low synth melody with an even pulsation, split into two repeated phrases and ending with a rising dominant octave. Notably, there are no semitones within this melody or any of the following phrases. After its introduction, the melody repeats in a harsher bass electric guitar tone. When the synth returns, a second melody in the form of the inverted first is then introduced, alternating between natural A minor and E minor harmonies. In the background, a quiet yet dissonant piano D-sharp hints at the elevated leading tone the piece never had. This section repeats at a higher pitch with brighter instrumentation. The first section repeats with added harmonic support from the piano. The second section plays once more with some additional instrumentation. After this, the track loops properly.
