Ranger is aCopy Ability that equipsKirby with a hunter's cap that has a star-shaped headlamp on it (which can somewhat illuminate the area in front of Kirby) and a smallflintlock blunderbuss gun with stars on its handles. This ability allows Kirby to attack foes by firing stars at them in various ways, and also allows for very long-range attacks. This ability made its first appearance inKirby and the Forgotten Land. Ranger also has twoEvolved Copy Ability forms, those beingNoble Ranger andSpace Ranger. Ranger and its variants are the only abilities inKirby and the Forgotten Land able to hitTarget Switches.

InKirby and the Forgotten Land, Ranger can be obtained by inhalingBernard. InKirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, Ranger can also be obtained by inhaling the yellow eyes thatChaos Elfilis uses during one of its attacks inThe Ultimate Cup Z EX.
