"Rainbow Resort" is a theme that first appeared inKirby's Adventure, and is primarily associated with thelevel of the same name, though it does not exclusively play there. The music was composed by Hirokazu Ando. It is notable in the fact that it has appeared several times in theKirby series since its initial composition, though not as much as the themes for "Vegetable Valley" or "Butter Building". It becomes particularly prominent inKirby Star Allies, which features three arrangements of the theme.

Rainbow Resort is a generally low-energy track which plays in a 6/8 time signature.

Rainbow Resort's tempo, time signature, and composition are similar to that of "Grape Garden".

Kirby's Adventure /Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]

In bothKirby's Adventure andits remake, the theme is used inOrange Ocean - Stage 5,Orange Ocean - Stage 6,Rainbow Resort - Stage 1, the end ofRainbow Resort - Stage 2,Rainbow Resort - Stage 3, andRainbow Resort - Stage 5.

In theSound Test ofKirby's Adventure, the normal version can be found as Music 1B and a version of it without the intro can be found as Music 1C. In the Sound Test ofKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, the theme can be found as Music 08. InKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, "Rainbow Resort" plays at slightly more than 163 beats per minute. This version was arranged byJun Ishikawa.^[1]

Kirby Air Ride[edit]

InKirby Air Ride, an arrangement of "Rainbow Resort" plays as the alternate theme for the race courseFrozen Hillside. The theme can be listened to from theChecklist forAir Ride if the player manages to finish 2 laps on Frozen Hillside in under a minute and 56 seconds.

Kirby: Canvas Curse[edit]

InKirby: Canvas Curse, the music that plays inFrozen Fantasy is an arrangement of "Rainbow Resort".

When the "Old School" sound mode is selected, theKirby: Nightmare in Dream Land arrangement plays inCold Course and also in Frozen Fantasy.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]

InKirby and the Rainbow Curse, an arrangement of "Rainbow Resort" can be unlocked by collecting one of theTreasure Chests found in theKirby Rocket's Big Blastoff stage, to then be played in theMusic Room.

Kirby Star Allies[edit]

InKirby Star Allies, the theme that plays in the stagesPlanet Frostak andBlizzno Moon includes an arrangement of "Rainbow Resort" as its later segment. Its title onNintendo Music is"Frostak's Arctic Tundra". It was composed byHirokazu Ando.

Starting with Version 3.0.0, a different arrangement of the theme can be heard when viewing the Friends' GetawayCelebration Picture. This version also incorporates "Level 7 Map Select", the stage select theme for Rainbow Resort. It was composed byYuuta Ogasawara.

Finally, in the medley that plays in the stages found inHeroes in Another Dimension, "The Legend of the Last World", it is the last theme featured. This track was composed by Hirokazu Ando.

InKirby Air Riders, theKirby Air Ride arrangement reprises its original role. It also plays inDeep-Dive Drive in the newRoad Trip mode.

In theKirby's Adventure soundtrack album, the theme received a vocal arrangement namedDREAMドリーム☆DREAMドリーム.

"Rainbow Resort" is featured on the albumsThe Very Best of Kirby: 52 Hit Tracks (theKirby's Adventure version) andKirby's Dream Collection Special Edition Compilation Soundtrack (theNightmare in Dream Land version). An orchestral arrangement of the theme is featured on the albumKirby Wii Music Selection, as part of a medley in the trackボーナストラック：空の夢と、虹の泉で (Bonus Track: Dreaming of Skies at the Fountain of Rainbows).

"Rainbow Resort" is included on The Sound of Kirby Café - Jazz Style - alongside "Northeast Frost Street" as a part of the medley 北のレインボーストリート (Northern Rainbow Street), which was arranged byYuko Komiyama.
