Poison is aCopy Ability that has so far appeared exclusively inKirby: Planet Robobot. It is obtained by swallowing aVenogg enemy, aDakuga enemy, or theMiasmorosmid-boss after defeating it. When acquiring this ability, Kirby obtains a skull-adorned headband, with poisonous fluid spewing out the top, similar to other fluid-based hats. The rim of the headband has a color pattern very similar to that ofcoral snakes, which are known for their dangerous venom.
The attacks Kirby gains with the Poison ability are similar to theWater ability. However, many of them function differently from Water's counterparts, and some are completely unique to Poison. Among these attacks are simple spewing moves, a geyser-type move, a surfing move that allows Kirby to glide over water, aFinal Cutter-like series of punches involving poison, and exhaling clouds of toxic gas. The gas clouds in particular linger for a good while, and can be pushed by wind currents in some stages. Uniquely, many of Poison's moves cause puddles of poison to linger on the ground that harm enemies if they stand in them. Up to four of these puddles may linger around at a time. If more are created, previous puddles will disappear. Like the Water ability, all attacks from Poison can put outFlame Blocks.

Trivia[edit]
- The Poison ability's design was inspired by a polluted version of theWater ability.[1]
- InKirby Super Star, there was a scrappedFlower ability that planted flowers on enemies' heads, which apparently would have poisoned them (similar to theLip's Stick item in theSuper Smash Bros. series). This idea of poisoning enemies is similar to the Poison ability.
- Interestingly, one of the early concept art pieces for Poison Kirby (in gallery below) greatly resembles the final design ofBeam Mage Kirby in theTeam Kirby Clash games.
