| ||||||||||||
| “ | This illusory beast was created with powerful psychic energy in a realm of dreams. It's not the real Gorimondo—just a phantom made of negative thoughts—but it's still incredibly strong! Since it's based on memories of the real Gorimondo, it can't resist a fruity snack. | ” | — Figure description fromKirby and the Forgotten Land |
Phantom Gorimondo, titledStrong-Armed Illusion, is a more powerful illusory form ofGorimondo which appears as theboss ofForgo Plains inKirby and the Forgotten Land and itsNintendo Switch 2 Edition, and can also be fought in The Ultimate Cup Z and The Ultimate Cup Z EX in theColosseum. Phantom Gorimondo looks and fights largely the same as its real counterpart, but has a different color scheme, now sporting bright cyan and magenta fur with cyan teeth, and eyes that match those ofFecto Forgo in its "Invasive Species" form.

| 歩きつかみ Walking Grab | Phantom Gorimondo slowly walks towards Kirby until he's within range and then attempts to grab him (cannot beguarded), leaving some stars in its swiping motion. If caught, Kirby must wriggle out from its clutches by rapidly moving the Control Stick, or be tossed to the floor and take heavy damage. It is much harder to escape from thanGorimondo's version. | Phantom Gorimondo only uses this attack at close range, though it starts the battle with this attack and will immediately use it a second time if Kirby dodges the first instance of the attack in these circumstances. | ||
| 岩なげ Rock Throw | Phantom Gorimondo pulls out a large stone from the ground and tosses it in Kirby's direction. The stone leaves a bunch ofDropped Stars on its first impact, then bounces repeatedly until it passes Kirby before breaking. | Phantom Gorimondo only uses this move at a distance. | ||
| ふりおろし3連 Triple Swing Down | Phantom Gorimondo swipes at Kirby with its hands in a horizontal manner three times in a row, leaving a trail of Dropped Stars in its wake. | Phantom Gorimondo only uses this move when Kirby is close enough to swipe at. | ||
| 地だんだ Groundwork | Phantom Gorimondo stomps with both feet, one after another, creating shockwaves on landing and throwing out Dropped Stars. | |||
| ダブル・ゴルルウェーブ Double Goriwave | Phantom Gorimondo does three successive stomps with both feet, each creating a different shockwave pattern and leaving behind dropped stars. | |||
| Second phase only | ||||
| アームストロング Armstrong | Phantom Gorimondo raises its arms and spins wildly, creating a vortex and four tornadoes with boulders in them that spin around it as it goes. After a while, it stops and becomes dizzy, and the boulders shortly afterward fall to the ground and break. Dropped Stars fall after Phantom Gorimondo stops spinning, and if the boulders bounce before breaking, they leave Dropped Stars behind as well. | This attack is always the first to come out during the second phase. | ||
