This article is about Waddle Dees who carry parasols. For Waddle Dees in a general context, seeWaddle Dee.

Parasol Waddle Dees are reoccurringenemies in theKirby series, first appearing inKirby's Adventure. He is a variant ofWaddle Dee who uses aParasol, allowing him to float and sway gently down through the air. If swallowed with his parasol, Kirby gains theParasol ability. If attacked and not defeated, a Parasol Waddle Dee can drop his parasol and become a regular Waddle Dee, while his parasol becomes a separate entity, either floating away, or becoming hostile in its own accord.

Parasol Waddle Dee is not always an enemy, however. InKirby Super Star,Kirby Super Star Ultra, andKirby Star Allies, a Parasol Waddle Dee can be aHelper, and playable along with Kirby. A Parasol Waddle Dee also appears as a playable fighter inKirby Battle Royale, and is simply referred to as 'Waddle Dee'.

Parasol Waddle Dee
3DS Waddle Dee Trophy.png
This citizen of Dream Land falls gracefully from the sky clutching a parasol. Waddle Dee itself is fairly harmless, but the parasol can deflect almost anything. Don't hurt yourself accidentally! Also, be careful if one releases its parasol—that floating umbrella can really sting! These little chaps from the Kirby series are really peaceful. In Smash Run, they use their parasols to float gently down to the ground. Their parasols will deflect almost anything, so you can use them as a trampoline, if you like! If a Waddle Dee lets go of its parasol, though, be careful - floating umbrellas are dangerous things!
