TheOrdeal theme[conjectural title] is one of the main motifs ofTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe andSuper Kirby Clash, heard during Ordeals. It was composed byHirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]
The "Ordeal" theme (as heard in its original orchestrated version) is a dramatic and energetic theme in A minor. The intro immediately sets the pace and tone with a variation of this theme's upcoming melody. As the intro motif transforms into a piano accompaniment, the brass melody itself appears. Its intonations are similar to the second section of "Green Greens", albeit with more drastic falls and rises in its latter half. The melody proceeds more similarly to the intro, played by a flute and the previous brass. The second section brings in a minor version of the "Town" motif, played by a violin and trumpet in succession. It ends in the style of the later "Town" themes before moving on to an extended, climactic intro. The track loops after this.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe[edit]
InTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe, two different "Ordeal" themes appear:
- "Ordeal: Save This Kingdom!"[2]: orchestral version, plays during theKracko,Whispy Woods andPyribbit Ordeals and the Tougher Quests against Gigant Edge, Blocky, Miasmoros, Mr. Frosty, Kibble Blade, King Doo, Ice Dragon, Telepathos and Bonkers.
- "Ordeal: Save This World!"[2]: electronic version, plays during the Tougher Quests against Whispy Woods, Pyribbit and Kracko.
The "Ordeal" motif is also present in most of the "Town" themes from this game.
Kirby Star Allies[edit]
InKirby Star Allies, both themes return for specific battles inThe Ultimate Choice:
- "Ordeal: Save This Kingdom!": battle music forKracko on Soul Melter. This could be a reference to how Kracko is the first ordeal boss inTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe.
- "Ordeal: Save This World!": battle music forTwin Kracko on Soul Melter andParallel Twin Kracko on Soul Melter EX. This could also be a reference to Kracko being one of the last bosses to be fought in the Empyrean before the Decisive Battlefield is unlocked.
Super Kirby Clash[edit]
InSuper Kirby Clash, the themes fromTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe are remixed for certain Story Quests:
- "Ordeal: Save This Kingdom! (Remix)"[conjectural title]: plays for the Story Quest Ordeals withIgnite Edge,Frost Kibble Blade and Pyribbit, in addition to the Toughest-rank Story Quests withTeam Colossal Quad,Spark Bonkers,Miasmoros, Ignite Edge,Mr. Floaty,Hornhead and Frost Kibble Blade.
- "Ordeal: Save This World! (Remix)"[3]: plays for the Story Quest Ordeal againstVenom Kracko, in addition to the Toughest-rank Story Quests against theElectric Dragon,Telepathos andFlame Galboros. This version was arranged byKiyoshi Hazemoto.[4]
Kirby Fighters 2[edit]
InKirby Fighters 2, theTeam Kirby Clash Deluxe version of "Ordeal: Save This World!" plays inThe EmpyreanBattle Stage. An arrangement using traditional Japanese instrumentation can be unlocked as the Secret Song for this stage upon reachingFighters Rank 93.
Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]
InKirby's Dream Buffet, "Ordeal: Save This World! (Remix)" fromSuper Kirby Clash, named"Super Kirby Clash: Memorial Song 1" in-game, can be unlocked atGourmet Rank 49 for use inRaces andFree Rolling.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]

InKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, the "Ordeal" motif plays in two tracks fromMagolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler: "Mistilteinn, Tree Crown without a Ruler" and "Crossing into the Parallel with You", foreshadowingMagolor and theGem Apple Tree sapling's fate.

Starting fromKirby Fighters 2, theSuper Kirby Clash arrangement of "Ordeal: Save This Kingdom!" represents its game of origin in thePast Adventures menu.
TheSuper Kirby Clash arrangement of "Ordeal: Save This World!" accompanies the game'sTetris 99 Maximus Cup, used when 50-11 players remain.
