"Once Cleared, the Fun Begins" is a theme fromKirby's Return to Dream Land andKirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe that plays on the main menu after clearingStory Mode but before achieving100% completion. It was composed byHirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]

"Once Cleared, the Fun Begins" is a triumphant and cheery theme in C major and 4/4. It begins with a joyous double dominant intro with a lead clarinet immediately presenting a variant of the "Four Adventurers: Cookie Country" motif, followed by a staccato resolution with added glockenspiel more characteristic of the intro of "The Adventure Begins". The clarinet, later joined by a flute, plays the main melody, which is derived from the aforementioned themes, starting off with the pattern melodic of "The Adventure Begins" with the phrase ending in the characteristic three rising notes phrase of "Four Adventurers: Cookie Country" peaking at quick trills. Brass with trombones specifically in the lead present the second motif of the track, tinged in minor harmonies but ultimately adding color to major by alternating E flat and E natural. This motif too has a counterpoint based on a now inverted and rhythmically accurate "Four Adventurers: Cookie Country". A flute trill leads to a repetition of the first melody by a more quiet xylophone. The second motif's brass is replaced by the clarinet as a rapid chiptune accompaniment which only later fearures the brass, now in a resolving position.
The second section is significantly lighter than the first, having distinct staccato and playing out in the higher registers of instruments like a pan flute, tubular bells, and a violin. The rhythmical pattern of "The Adventure Begins" remains, but the melody is nearly completely inverted. The melody continues to develop and diverge further until the chiptune, glockenspieal and brass accompaniments return in a tutti for the resolving second motif. The chiptune continues with a harmony-oriented solo somewhat similar to the intro of "Sky Tower", then joined by the violin and a trumpet reiterating this motif. After the brass concludes the music, the track loops from the first motif.
