Off the Wall! Ricochet Switches (Buzz-Saw Cutter Treasure for short) is a stage inTreasure Road, found inOriginull Wasteland. This stage tasksKirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use ofBuzz-Saw Cutter, using the blades' ricochet to hit switches past walls. The stage is unlocked after rescuing 38Waddle Dees in Originull Wasteland. In order to play this stage, Kirby needs to have acquired the Buzz-Saw Cutter ability. It is marked by three stars of difficulty and has a stage time of three minutes and 30 seconds (three minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute and 30 seconds.

Stage details[edit]

This stage features four distinct challenge areas making use of the Buzz-Saw Cutter's ability to bounce blades off of walls. Each one requires Kirby to shoot a blade into a slot in the fence so that it hits angled walls in a way that leads it to the switch that will create a bridge to the next zone. Each subsequent challenge is more complicated than the last, with the last two in particular making use of switches that swivel the angled walls. Each bridge also contains enemies that Kirby will need to deal with. After completing the last challenge, Kirby can reach theRare Stone.

Tips[edit]

The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:

• It may be useful for Kirby to keep track of how many times he needs to flip each switch in order to create paths to hit all the switches, particularly for the last challenge. There, he should not need to hit the left switch more than twice, and the right switch more than once.
• The target time for this stage is not too strict, so Kirby should have plenty of time to finish in time if he knows which switches to press and when.
• Kirby may need to fire multiple blades in the same slot to ensure that the switch gets hit.
