"Neo Star: Stage Select"[conjectural title] is the stage select theme forNeo Star fromKirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It was composed byJun Ishikawa.[1]
Composition[edit]
"Neo Star: Stage Select" is a theme in A Dorian mode and 4/4 time with heavy percussion and a deep bass. Due to just being a stage select theme, it's a rather short track. Its melody consists of repeating rising seconds in Dorian mode, alternating between vii-i and vi-i. Each subsequent section is played in a higher key (A, C and D Dorian) while featuring distinct lower-pitched instruments: from a soft woodwind to a loud and brisk synth, and then finishing in the bass register.
