Needlous has a caterpillar-like body with yellow and black stripes, similar in some respect toCapiller. It has eight spikes coming out from various places at the top of its body, three on each side of its waist, and two on its back. Needlous attacks by curling itself in a ball and rolling toward Kirby. When it is not attacking, it only inches slowly across the ground.
Needlous makes its debut appearance in this title, replacing all instances ofSpiny fromKirby's Adventure, though acting much the same as the creature it replaced.
