Mrs. Parfaitski

Mrs. Parfaitski[Japanese title] is a guest character featured in theKirby novel series, and makes her guest appearance inKirby and the Dangerous Gourmet Mansion?!. She is a picky gourmet who—despite her outward portrayal—is ignorant and stuck-up. She moves intoDream Land and builds a large mansion heavily based on sweets, which she formally invites several dozen guests to for her birthday celebration. However, she is kidnapped during it, and must be rescued byKirby and his friends.
Her name in Japanese isパフェスキー (Pafesukī), which is a play on words, as it can also be translated as "I like parfait." It causes confusion between other characters in the story sometimes, such as whenWaddle Dee first tells Kirby about her, and Kirby mistakenly thinks he said he "likes parfait", and so asks him what kind of parfait he likes.
Characteristics[edit]
Mrs. Parfaitski is a lady of an unknown species with a plump shape and short curly hair. She wears a derby hat styled as pudding with a cherry, a pair of pearl bracelets, a pearl necklace with a decorative candy attached, and a sleeveless dress.
As her name suggests, she is fond of sweets, and is a rich gourmet who portrays herself as kind and polite. In actuality, however, she is shown to be rude, selfish, and stuck-up, shown most clearly when she is upset in some way, which is fairly often given her short-temper. She is also a perfectionist, and is extremely picky when it comes to her choice of food. She will end up disliking certain dishes because of picky overexaggerated complaints, even when they are made top-class.

InKirby and the Dangerous Gourmet Mansion?!, Mrs. Parfaitski sets up a celebration at her newly built sweets-based mansion to celebrate her birthday inDream Land. She hires several top-class chefs to cook for her and formally sends invitations out to numerous people, promising to serve a feast that will last for days. In the process, she forces the chefs to cook a very specific way to her liking, and eventually secretly locks many of them away because of her displeasure with their cooking, (includingChef Kawasaki), unbeknownst to the guests.
Later that evening, she is abruptly kidnapped by a group of thieves, who are friends of Chef Kawasaki and are attempting to find him and free him by questioning her.Kirby,King Dedede, andMeta Knight (who had attended the celebration) eventually track her down and learn of her true selfish and rude nature and the locked away chefs. At first, she refuses to say where they are located, but eventually gives in after hearing Kirby's painful singing using theMikeCopy Ability. Once back at the mansion, the chefs, despite what she did to them, cook up a large cake for her, which changes her for the better. In the end, she gifts Kirby and his friends a basket of fruit for making things right, only to have Kirby inhale it immediately, much to her disgust.
